Terms of service

These terms set the ground rules for using Free To Play Puzzles. They're written to be readable, but they are a binding agreement, so please take a few minutes to go through them.

Last updated September 26, 2026

1. Agreeing to these terms

These terms of service (“terms”) apply to your use of www.freetoplaypuzzles.com and everything on it, including games, daily puzzles, leaderboards, articles and newsletters (together, the “service”), provided by Free To Play Puzzles (“we”, “us”). By using the service you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

2. Who can use the service

The service is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. If you are under the age of majority where you live, please use the service with the involvement of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf.

3. The service is free

All games and content are free to use. You don’t need an account. The service is supported by advertising, which is displayed around the games and content and, in some games, between rounds or in exchange for an optional in-game reward. Please don’t use tools or scripts to interfere with how ads are displayed or measured, and never click ads other than out of genuine interest.

4. Your anonymous player profile

When you first visit, your browser creates an anonymous player ID and secret that are stored locally. They link your scores to your nickname on the leaderboards. You are responsible for your own device and browser. If you clear your browser data or switch devices, your local progress and player ID will not come with you, and we can’t restore them.

5. Nicknames and anything you send us

If you choose a nickname or send us messages, feedback or ratings, you agree that they will not:

  • include personal information such as your full name, age, address, school, phone number or email address, or anyone else’s;
  • be offensive, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, threatening or discriminatory;
  • impersonate another person, brand or Free To Play Puzzles itself;
  • contain advertising, links or spam;
  • infringe anyone’s intellectual property or other rights, or break the law.

We may change, hide or remove any nickname or content that we believe breaks these rules, without notice. By sending us feedback or suggestions, you allow us to use them to improve the service without any obligation to you.

6. Fair play and leaderboard integrity

Leaderboards and daily results are only fun if they are fair. When using the service you agree not to:

  • submit scores or results that were not achieved through normal play of the game;
  • use bots, scripts, solvers, automation, modified game code or network tampering to play or to submit scores;
  • exploit bugs to gain an advantage (please report them to us instead);
  • create many player IDs to manipulate rankings, ratings or play counts;
  • overload, probe, scrape or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service or its systems.

We check submissions against limits for each game and may remove scores, reset leaderboards, or block a player ID from submitting scores if we believe these rules have been broken. Leaderboards are provided for fun; there are no prizes, and rankings have no monetary value.

7. Intellectual property

The service, including its games, code, puzzles, artwork, text, guides, logos and design, is owned by or licensed to Free To Play Puzzles and is protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. Traditional games such as Sudoku, Solitaire or Chess are not owned by anyone, but our particular versions of them are.

You may use the service for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment, and share links to it. You may not copy, reproduce, republish, frame, embed, sell or create derivative works from the service or its content, or remove any copyright notices, without our written permission. Journalists can find logo usage guidelines on our press page. Other trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners.

If you believe content on the site infringes your copyright, email support@freetoplaypuzzles.com with a description of the work, where it appears on the site, and your contact details, and we’ll look into it promptly.

8. Third-party services and links

The service includes ads and may link to websites we don’t control. We aren’t responsible for third-party websites, products or services, including those advertised on the site, and your dealings with them are between you and the third party.

9. Changes to the service

We are always improving the site, so games, features, daily puzzles and leaderboards may change, be reset or be removed at any time. We may also suspend or stop the service, in whole or in part, without liability to you.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don’t promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, that saved progress will never be lost, or that leaderboards will always be accurate.

Our games and articles are for entertainment and general information only. Content about brain health, such as our cognitive benefits guide, is not medical advice. Talk to a qualified professional about any health concerns. If you have photosensitive epilepsy or are sensitive to flashing images, please take care with fast-moving arcade games.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Free To Play Puzzles will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, progress, scores, profits or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service. Because the service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to US $50.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain warranties to be excluded or liability to be limited, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

12. Indemnity

If you break these terms or the law while using the service, you agree to cover any reasonable losses and costs (including legal fees) we incur as a result of third-party claims, to the extent permitted by law.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you live outside the United States, you may also benefit from mandatory consumer protections in the country where you live.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the “Last updated” date above, and we’ll give more prominent notice of significant changes. If you keep using the service after changes take effect, you accept the updated terms.

15. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These terms, together with our privacy policy and cookie policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about the service.

16. Contact
