This page explains the cookies and browser storage used on Free To Play Puzzles, what each one is for, and how you can control them.

What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small text files that a website, or a service it uses, saves in your browser. They can be read back on later visits, which lets a site remember things or recognize a returning browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that lets a site keep data on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage isn’t sent to a server automatically with every request.
“First-party” cookies and storage are set by us. “Third-party” cookies are set by other companies, in our case Google, whose services run on our pages.
How we use them
We don’t use cookies for accounts or logins, because the site doesn’t have any. Our own games use local storage to remember your progress on your device. Google uses cookies and similar identifiers for analytics and for the ads that keep the site free.

Advertising cookies in more detail
Ads on the site are served by Google AdSense. Google and its certified partners may use cookies to show ads based on your previous visits to this site and other sites. Some of our games may also show an ad between rounds or offer an optional ad in return for an in-game reward; these use the same Google technologies.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you’ll see a consent message from a Google-certified consent platform on your first visit. Analytics and advertising cookies that require consent are only used according to the choices you make there, and you can revisit those choices at any time through the privacy and cookie settings option the message provides. If you refuse personalized advertising, you may still see non-personalized ads, which use cookies in a more limited way, for example for frequency capping and fraud prevention, where the law allows.
How to manage cookies and storage
- Personalized ads: turn them on or off for Google ads at adssettings.google.com, or opt out of many participating ad companies at optout.aboutads.info or youronlinechoices.eu.
- Analytics: install Google’s Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Your browser: most browsers let you block third-party cookies, delete cookies, or clear all data for a specific site. Look for “Cookies and site data” or “Privacy” in your browser’s settings.
A note on clearing site data: clearing cookies and site data for freetoplaypuzzles.com also erases your local game progress, including stats, streaks, personal bests, saved games and your anonymous player ID. Scores already on the leaderboards stay there under your old nickname unless you ask us to remove them (see our privacy policy). Blocking local storage entirely will stop some games from saving progress.

We’ll update this page if the cookies or storage we use change, and revise the “Last updated” date at the top.
