About Block Puzzle
Block Puzzle is a free, relaxing block puzzle game in the style of Block Blast: drag colorful block shapes onto an 8×8 board, fill complete rows and columns, and watch them shatter into sparkles. There's no timer and no rush — just you, the board and three blocks at a time.
Every clear frees up space, and clearing lines back to back builds a combo that multiplies your score. The challenge is planning ahead: the board fills up fast if you leave awkward gaps, and the game ends the moment none of your blocks fits. One game can last two minutes or twenty, depending on how carefully you play.
It works beautifully on phones, tablets and computers, saves your game automatically if you leave, and posts your best score to the global leaderboard. If you like classic wood block puzzles, you'll feel right at home — with a little extra sparkle.
How to play Block Puzzle

Drag a block onto the board
You always have three blocks in the tray below (or beside) the board. Drag one onto the grid — a glowing shadow shows exactly where it will land. On a phone the block floats just above your finger so you can see where it's going.

Fill rows and columns
When a row or a column is completely full, it clears and those squares become free again. The lines that are about to clear light up in your block's color before you let go, so you always know what a move will do.

Place all three blocks
You can place the three blocks in any order. As soon as the last one is down, a fresh set of three arrives. Blocks that won't fit anywhere right now are grayed out in the tray.

Chain combos for big scores
Clearing two or more lines with one block, or clearing lines on consecutive turns, raises your combo. Every cleared square is worth 10 points multiplied by your combo, so combos quickly dwarf everything else.

Keep going until you're stuck
The game is over when none of the blocks in your tray fits on the board. You'll see No space left, your final score and how it compares with your best.

Block Puzzle tips and strategy
Keep the middle open
Big shapes like the 3×3 square and the long 5-block lines need space. Build along the edges and corners first, and try to keep a large open area in the center of the board for emergencies.
Always leave room for the 3×3
Before every move, ask yourself: could a 3×3 square still fit somewhere? If the answer is no, the next big block may end your game. Keeping one 3×3 hole free is the single best habit you can build.
Avoid single-square holes
Isolated one-square gaps can only be filled by the tiny single block, which doesn't come often. Place pieces flush against each other and against the walls so you don't leave pockmarks behind.
Think about all three blocks
Look at the whole tray before placing anything. Often the order matters: putting the awkward piece down first, or saving the line piece to finish a row, is the difference between clearing and getting stuck.
Set up double clears
Fill a row and a column that cross each other and complete both with one block. Clearing two or three lines at once multiplies every square you clear and frees up a huge amount of space.
Keep the streak alive
Your combo survives as long as you clear at least one line within every three placements. When you're on a streak, it's worth taking a smaller clear now rather than waiting for a bigger one later.
Chase the perfect clear
Emptying the entire board with one clear earns a 300-point bonus. It happens most often early in a game or right after a big combo, so keep an eye out for it.
How scoring works
- +1 point for every square you place.
- +10 points for every square you clear, multiplied by your combo.
- Your combo equals the number of lines cleared by that move, plus one for each clearing move just before it in your current streak. Clearing a row and a column together counts as two lines.
- A streak continues as long as you clear something at least once every three placements.
- A perfect clear — leaving the board completely empty — adds a 300-point bonus.
For example, clearing a single row on its own scores 8 squares × 10 × 1 = 80 points, plus a point for each square you placed. Clearing a row and a column together (15 squares) on your third clearing move in a row makes a ×4 combo: 15 × 10 × 4 = 600 points.
Fair blocks, every game
The blocks in your tray are random, but not cruel. Early on you'll see every shape, from single squares to the big 3×3. As the board fills up, the game leans toward shapes that actually fit and tries to deal a set of three you can place — so a lost game is almost always down to a risky move, not a bad deal.
Your game is saved after every move, so you can close the page and pick up where you left off. Your best score is saved on your device and submitted to the leaderboard.
Where block puzzles come from
Block puzzles grew out of Tetris, the falling-block classic from 1984. Mobile games like 1010! and later Block Blast took away the falling and the time pressure: blocks sit in a tray, you place them wherever you like, and full rows and columns disappear. That simple change turned a reflex game into a calm, strategic puzzle you can play at your own pace.

Can I rotate the blocks?
No. Blocks are placed exactly as they appear in the tray. Different orientations of the same shape show up as separate blocks, which is part of the challenge.
When does the game end?
The game ends when none of the blocks remaining in your tray can fit anywhere on the board. Blocks that currently don't fit are shown in gray so you can see trouble coming.
How do combos work?
Your combo is the number of lines a move clears plus your current streak of clearing moves. Every cleared square is worth 10 points times the combo, so double clears and long streaks score far more than single lines.
Does the game save if I close the page?
Yes. Your board, tray and score are saved on your device after every move, so you can come back later and continue the same game.
Is there a time limit?
